The First Descents EddyFlower Vertical Challenge kicks off today. Founded by kayaker Brad Ludden, First Descents is a nonprofit that raises funds to send young adults with cancer to adventure camps. For the EddyFlower comp, teams and individuals get 32 days to drop through as much vertical as they can while kayaking. All donations raised from the event will go to First Descents. You dont need to be a pro kayaker to participate. The comp is open to all skill levels, and its divided into East and West divisions.
